About

My path to becoming a counselor has always been rooted in the belief that healing is possible and that every person deserves the opportunity to reconnect with their sense of peace and autonomy. I earned my Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Northwestern University and am currently pursuing a Master of Arts in Education at Maine College of Art & Design, graduating in 2027. My work as a counselor is grounded in compassion and curiosity, with a deep commitment to creating spaces where people feel safe enough to explore their inner world and begin the process of healing.

I am also the founder of Reclaiming Peace (reclaimingpeace.org), a nonprofit currently in its foundational stages that is dedicated to expanding access to holistic, trauma-informed care and psychoeducation. Through this work, I hope to foster stronger community connections and create spaces where individuals can learn, heal, and support one another.

Outside of counseling, I find grounding and joy in nature and creativity. Much of my free time is spent with my sons, whose curiosity and sense of wonder remind me daily of the importance of slowing down, being present, and making space for play. Together, we enjoy hiking, creating art, and caring for the land and animals on our small farm in Midcoast Maine.

XO, Maddie
